在小羅馬人剛滿17個月的這個時候，總算把這個影片剪輯完成，選的這首歌也充分地詮釋了當父母的我們的心情。

親愛的孩子，

從第一次知道你的存在，爸爸媽媽除了心懷感恩，也有點害怕有些緊張。孕期中超過一半的時間都在擔心我的早期前置胎盤會不會影響到你的發育和你的出生。還好一切都是多慮。

跟哥哥姊姊比起來，你身高體重都小了一號。儘管你開始坐，爬，站，走的時間也比哥哥姊姊慢了一些，爸爸媽媽愛你的程度卻沒有因此少一些。連治療師都同意我的觀察：你的gross motor skill發展雖然沒有哥哥姊姊快，但是你的fine motor skill發展卻相當好，抓玩具，玩弄東西，沒有蓋子是你打不開的。同時，你的認知發展也比平均超前，雖然還不能用語言溝通， 但是我覺得你很懂得用比手畫腳來表達你的欲望，對爸爸媽媽說話發的指令耶理解得很快。觀察力和模仿力都很強。

一年，過得好快。你從只會哇哇哭，到現在會揮手說再見，會唧唧嘎嘎說個不停。 從最討厭戴帽子，到現在若把你的帽子摘掉你還會發脾氣。從只喝母奶，到現在會自己用湯匙喝湯吃飯。從只要媽媽抱，到現在喜歡跟在哥哥姊姊屁股後面追，喜歡跟爸爸出去放風，也喜歡跑去給奶奶抱。不過在受痛受委屈的時候，還是只有媽媽的懷抱最好。媽媽最愛的就是每天下班回家一進門， 就看見你掛著微笑來迎接我。

親愛的孩子，我們多麼幸運能成為你的父母親，陪著你長大。跟哥哥姊姊一樣，你是上天賜給我們的恩典。我們不求你樣樣比人強，只希望你平安健康快樂，勇敢去追求你的夢想。
